Stir Fried Chinese Leek with Pork Slices and Jalapeno 

A simple and quick dish using Chinese leek, which stimulates appetite, especially with the hotness from jalapeno pepper. Chinese leek is available in most Chinese grocery stores, it is abundant in summer time.


Cooking Steps

1. Clean 1/2 lb Chinese leek, cut into 1 inch pieces.
2. Cut 1/4 lb pork into thin slices, cut 1-2 jalapeno into thin slices.
3. Heat a wok with 2 tablespoon vegetable oil using high heat, add jalapeno slices, turn heat to medium, cover the wok, let the jalapeno roast for 1 minute.
4. Turn heat back to high, add the pork slices, stir fry for 1 minute, add the Chinese leek, stir evenly.
5. Add 1 table spoon soy sauce (no need to add salt with this much soy sauce), 1 teaspoon sugar, stir fry for 3-5 minutes or until all ingredients are fully cooked. Serve with rice.
